Back Pain Treatment in Downtown Toronto
Hands-on osteopathy that finds why your back keeps flaring — and finally settles it.
Lower back pain is the number-one reason downtown Toronto patients walk into LiveWell. Most have already tried massage, the gym, painkillers — sometimes a chiropractor or physio — and the pain keeps coming back. Osteopathy is different: we assess how your whole body is loading, find what's actually driving the flare, and treat the cause so the pain stops returning.

Frequently asked questions
- Is osteopathy better than physio or chiropractic for back pain?
- It's different. Osteopathy uses gentle, hands-on techniques across the whole body to address what's driving the pain, rather than adjusting one segment or prescribing exercises. Many patients come to us after physio or chiropractic has plateaued.
- How quickly will my back pain improve?
- Most downtown Toronto patients feel a clear shift inside 1–3 sessions and resolve their main complaint in 3–6 visits. Long-standing or post-surgical cases may need longer. We'll give you a realistic plan after your first assessment.
- Do you treat sciatica?
- Yes. Sciatica is one of the most common cases we see — we assess whether the nerve irritation is coming from the lumbar spine, the deep glute musculature, or a combination, and treat accordingly.
- Is back-pain treatment covered by insurance?
- Osteopathy is covered under most Canadian extended health plans (Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Green Shield, Desjardins and more) when your plan includes it. We direct bill where supported.
